Album Description:
This multi-award winning album is the second in the series of Healing Music albums by guitarist/composer/bandleader Valerie Romanoff, and includes a variety of exotic instruments designed to open hearts, blend worlds and bring humanity closer together in peace and love. Each piece is a journey, inviting the listener to center their awareness in the present moment, find their inner oasis, and connect to the Divinity within, Many of the pieces are long form (15+ minutes) and there are radio edits of each track. Romanoff played all of the guitars, bass, piano and synth, with most of the tracking done at Näthan “Saith” Gangadean’s recording studio in Sedona, Arizona. Näthan mixed the ever complex “Dawn of Tao,” and Valerie’s long-time friend Tom Rossi played bansuri flute, 12-string African harp (kora), and percussion. Stevin McNamara played sitar, and went on to mix and co-produce most of the album; all together creating a worldly fusion of East meets West. Simon Vegas added beats and sounds to Om Shanti Shalom; which was written as an homage to long-time friend and collaborator, 101 year old yogi, Tao Porchon-Lynch.
Romanoff performs a variety of musical genres, all infused with intentions of peace and love.
